Include your name, the email on the account, the brand, and what you were trying to do. A screenshot helps us see the same screen you see.
Sign-in
You do not register a new account inside the app. ESSENCE creates the account and invites you. Sign in with that email and your password, or open the one-time link we email you. Open the link on the phone that has the app installed.
If the link has expired, or the password is rejected, email us from the invited address and we will send a new sign-in link.
A brand or a task is missing
A contact at a brand sees only that brand. ESSENCE can keep a task hidden until it is ready to show the brand. If a campaign you expected is not in the app, email us the brand name and the campaign name.
Notifications
Turn on notifications for Essence Retention in your phone’s settings. We send them for mentions, review requests, comments, and decisions. Those same items also appear in the in-app inbox.
Signing out unlinks that phone, so it stops receiving pushes for the account. If you have allowed notifications and still receive none, email us and say whether the phone is an iPhone or an Android.
Photos and the camera
The app asks for your photo library or camera only when you attach an image to a task. If the picker does not open, allow Photos and Camera for Essence Retention in the phone’s settings, then try the attach button again.
Account, privacy, and deletion
The privacy policy for the app is at /essence-ai/privacy.
To close an account, ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete personal data, email jacques@essenceretention.com with the subject “Essence Retention data deletion”. Include:
- Your name.
- The email address on the Essence Retention account.
- The brand you are a contact for, if you are not ESSENCE staff.
- Whether you want the account closed, a copy of your data, or both.
Deleting the app from your phone removes the session stored on that device. It does not delete the account on our servers. Use the email above for that.
We aim to reply to privacy and deletion requests within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we close the account.
